Taylor Physiotherapy is a renowned centre of excellence in pelvic health, trusted by consultants in urology, gastrointestinal medicine and pain management, who frequently refer patients with complex and persistent pain and bladder/bowel continence issues.
Bill was the first physiotherapist in the UK to investigate and treat the neuromusculoskeletal aspects of pelvic pain in men. He later went on to train other physiotherapists in the field. In addition to treating complex pelvic health cases in both men and women,
Bill also continues to treat non-pelvic musculoskeletal injuries and pain, and is a consultant physiotherapist to the Scottish Ballet. At the start of the covid crisis, Bill was among the first in our profession to fully embrace and promote the benefits of virtual consultations.
He credits his friend and colleague Anna Maria Risso with helping the team successfully transition to video consultations to ensure continuity of care for their patients.
As an early enthusiastic supporter of the PhysiosOnline collaborative, Bill has also been an invaluable support to other physiotherapists, promoting and supporting their efforts to successfully pivot to online care.
Through his support for PhysiosOnline, Bill has encouraged and supported colleagues in other specialist fields such as paediatrics, oncology and neurology to reach patients who need them and to thrive in challenging times.
Bill accepts referrals from other physiotherapists and consultants, and may take on self-referrals with people with complex presentations who suffer with chronic prostatitis, cystitis, vulvodynia, pudendal neuralgia, bladder pain syndrome, coccydynia and other chronic pelvic pain syndromes.
Please be aware that due that there may be waiting time of several weeks to consult with Bill, and that he may decide to refer you to an expert colleague if he feels that this is appropriate.
