If you wish to apply for mentoring with Emma, please:
- book a 15 minute phone session to discuss whether you are a suitable mentor/mentee match and what you hope to achieve during your mentoring sessions. This initial session costs £20. You book this by selecting a suitable time in the calendar on this page.
- You will receive an email with all the information required for your first phone session.
- If it is mutually agreed that you and your mentor are a “good fit”, you can decide to proceed based on your needs and your mentor’s availability. The first session of mentoring following your initial interview will be charged at £110 per hour.
- Thereafter you and your mentor will set individual fees depending on the circumstances, planned number of sessions and learning approach.
About Emma
After completing her undergraduate degree at Nottingham University Emma spent time with both the NHS and British Armed Forces in Germany. On her return Emma studied for her masters in sports physiotherapy and manual therapy through Sheffield Hallam University and completed her placement to be registered with the MACP in 2003.
She joined the EIS (English Institute of Sport) from Head physiotherapist at Northern Ballet Theatre in 2007 and took up a role with multisport and British Swimming. Emma supported the British swimming team during the 2008 Beijing games and led the successful open water team.
Emma moved to Lead Physio at British Triathlon in 2009 and was part of the support team which helped the athletes to achieve the sports first Olympic medal success in London 2012, and continued medal delivery at the Rio 2016 games.
As well as contracting for the RFU as part of their PHICIS medical trauma faculty. Emma is currently Head of Performance Health Services and Lead physiotherapist for British Triathlon and a Technical Lead for the Yorkshire region of the English Institute of Sport. Areas of interest include lower limb pathologies, including tendinopathies and bone health.
