Dr Noake is a consultant with over 12 years of experience working in broad range of professional sport including rugby, athletics, gymnastics, hockey, cricket, football and disability sport.
He has a diverse specialist background in surgery (principally trauma & orthopaedics) general medicine, rehabilitation medicine and rheumatology, affording him a holistic overview and giving him the ability to take a balanced, informed approach to the diagnosis and management of all musculoskeletal conditions.
He has postgraduate qualifications in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound and enjoys tutoring and mentoring in this evolving area. He has previously developed and led a novel pan CCG primary care musculoskeletal service in North London.
He has been head doctor at Premiership rugby team London Irish RFC for 7 years and is now a consultant to them. He has been event doctor at numerous national and international sporting events, worked at London 2012 as a sports physician in the athletics Polyclinic and alongside the Olympic and Paralympic training squads.
He is passionate about the non surgical, multi-discipinary management of all musculoskeletal and sports related conditions (acute / traumatic and chronic /overuse), affecting everyone from the sedentary, through to the ‘weekend warrior’ and up to the elite amateur and professional athlete.
He has a special interest in tendinopathy, interventional ultrasound and diagnostic blocks, challenging & complex cases, red flags and medical masqueraders, sporting hip, groin and buttock pain & gym / contact sports injuries.
He currently works at Pure Sports medicine, a multidisciplinary sports injury clinic in Bank (London) and at Spire Hartswood in Brentwood, Essex.
