Dr Ravindran has over 20 years of experience in acute and chronic pain management. He is the clinical lead for pain medicine at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading. He firmly believes that pain conditions should be treated as early as possible, with the appropriate use of multidisciplinary techniques to improve patient quality of life.
He helped set up the award winning community Pain service in Berkshire – The Integrated Pain and SPinal Service (IPASS) in 2015 and serves as lead pain consultant to the service.
Today, his areas of special clinical expertise include treatment of neck and back pain, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and cancer pain.
Dr Ravindran stays up to date with latest developments in his field, as a Member of the British Pain Society, the World Institute of Pain and the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).
Above all, Dr Ravindran is keenly interested in promoting high quality pain education to his patients and other health care professionals. He has presented at various conferences both in the UK and in Europe and has spoken on various pain management topics to Healthcare professionals (GPs, Nurses, medical students, junior doctors).
